Ball Mill (complementary)

A ball mill is used to obtain a product size below 150 microns. With the rotation of the mill, the collision and abrasion forces crush the material in the mill chamber or on the mill. Balls act as grinding media, where contact points are made and materials are either crushed or ground. Feed particle size, grinding speed, and the size of the grinding medium are just some of the factors that affect grinding power.

The required size and characteristics of the mill can be determined by analyzing ore characteristics, feed size, desired product size, type of mill circuit, and desired hourly output and capacity. We are happy to work with our customers to create optimal dimensions for ball mills and ball mills on request.

In most wet process ball mills, the mill is lined with a rubber liner. Its low investment cost and easy portability make it a profitable choice. For those customers who choose something more flexible and durable, we recommend using a steel cover.

In most cases, our customers have the possibility to choose the type of lining used in their ball mill or ball mill. There is also the option for the customer to supply their own liner if they choose, where we are prepared to supply the mill without liner. Lining operations can be done on site.
